A Tool to Help Scissors Sharpeners Fix Rusty Shears

As scissors sharpeners we have all run into shears that are tarnished or discolored. Many industrial shears are made with carbon steel and they are especially prone to discoloring and rusting. Many grooming shears are made with carbon steel as well, although most of them are made with 420 stainless steel with a mix of high carbon. This fights off rust and tarnish to a degree, but not fully.

In the video below, I show a neat tool that sharpeners can use to clean up shears like this quickly and easily. It is called the Rust Eraser and is available from Wolff Industries for just $5.51. Take a look below and see how simple it is to remove discoloration from shears and clipper blades with a few flicks of the wrist. If you'd like to give the Rust Eraser a try, you can order it online by clicking here, or you can call Wolff at 800-888-3832.
