SOME 2014 NBTSG PICTURES

(If you are viewing this in your email inbox, click on the title link above to view the video and see the complete post)

Here are the pictures of the NBTSG scissors and clipper blade sharpening convention I promised in my last post. If you have any questions just give me a call or email me. My number and email are in the sidebar to the right. If you'd like to see a full write up of the show, the best place to see that would be On The Edge. Here's a link to the On The Edge website:

The Vendor Room
Below is a picture of Dennis Brooks with Sharp Edges. One of the best parts of the NBTSG is the vendor room. There is always a wealth of knowledge there that can be drawn from over and over again throughout the show.

The vendors that came this year included:

On The Edge Newsletter
Wolff Industries
The Edge Pro
Sharp Edges
Bonika Shears
Nebraska Blades
Nina Inc.
Jaguar Shears

Michael Torgau
Michael Torgau is centered in the picture below between Bonnie and Denise. Denise is the US rep for Jaguar Shears. Michael was this year's Keynote Speaker.

Guild Center Training
Below is a sampling of some of the training that went on during the Guild Center Sessions.

Trainers were:
Myself with Wolff and On The Edge
Jason Sturm with The Edge Pro
Bob Schiessl with Nebraska Blades
Bonnie and Gene Megowan with Bonika Shears
Dennis Brooks with Sharp Edges
Ian Parsons
Craig Cazier
Lou Gean

Silent Auction
Each year the NBTSG has a silent auction table. This year it was chock full of goodies. Multiple machines, stock, and other sundries.

Our Master Sharpeners
This year took men scored high enough to reach the status of Master Sharpener in the NBTSG. On the left is Tim Lau and on the right we have Chris Moorman. Chris not only scored Master in shears, but in clipper blades also. This ranks him as a Grand Master Sharpener in the guild. He came all the way from Australia to take the test this year. Well done to both men.

Judges
Oh, and of course, I couldn't let this post go by without introducing you to one of the NBTSG's judges. Yeah, I know Andy, but I just had to.
